Kasturi Biography
Kasturi, the South Indian actress, born in 1976 made her debut in an Oriya film, Radha (1984).
Soon after, she was seen in the Tamil movie Atma (1993).
Kasturi was the subject of a 30-minute documentary film Kasthuri: A South Indian Film star made by Richard Breyer and N. C. Rajamani in 1995.
Kasthuri bowed out of films after her Hindi short film The Bypass in 2003. In 2007, there were rumours that she was planning a comeback. But these rumours proved false.
She is making her comeback to Tamil films in 2009, after signing on for two films.
Her Malayalam film Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava released in 1995.
In the superhit Tamil film, Indian (1996), she played Kamal Hassan’s daughter, who dies because she didn’t get medical attention in a very critical state.
She was seen in the Malayalam movie Sneham (1998), and the Tamil movie Kaadhal Kavidai (1998).
In the Telugu film Akasa Veedhilo (2001), she appeared with Nagarjuna Akkineni and Raveena Tandon.
She has also worked in a Hindi film, The Bypass (2003).
Her Tamil film Malai Malai, released in 2009.
