Monal Biography
Born on 26th January, Monal is sister to the famous actress Simran. She wanted to become an actress at a very young age and acted in school plays regularly. She collected 15 prizes at an acting school. She loved swimming. She won an award for best dancer in an inter-collegiate competition in Bombay. The same year she became Miss Bombay. In Delhi, she had already won the Miss Media title. She did her schooling in Delhi and did Bachelor of Commerce in Mithibai College. She has also modelled on the ramp. She did some modeling, fashion shows and beauty contests. That\'s when she got a break in the Tamil film industry. She shot to fame with her performance in her debut Tamil film Paarvai Ondre Podhume, had acted in five or six Tamil films including the box office hits like Samuthiram, Bhadri and Lovely and two Malayalam films. Her last film was Charlie Chaplin. She was shooting for the Tamil film Pesadha Kannum Pesume, before her death, as She hanged herself on April 14th, in her house, in Chennai.
